Conducted lab research on molecular pathways involved in Stat3 activation in the lung inflammation model (LPS induced or immune-complex induced) using siRNA-mediated gene silencing technology. 2.Dissected the cellular and molecular mechanisms of STIM1 in acute lung inflammation and pulmonary dysfunction during sepsis.1. Generated ILT2 transgenic mice. Studied the role of the HLA-G and ILT2 receptor interaction in modulation of T cell responses in skin allograft survival model and EAE model. 2. Researched the potential mechanisms in the immunosuppressive accomplishment of HLA-G ILT2 interactions involves the expansion of myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) and the potential of MDSCs in transplantation. 3. Created TREM-1 gene knock-out mice. Studied the role of TREM-1 in acute inflammation (LPS induced sepsis), DSS induced Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and DSS induced cancer model.
