爆米花的营养价值
爆米花一般包含大量纤维，以及，锌，铜，锰，铁，核黄素和硫胺素等营养素。
但是街头转炉式爆锅比较落后，锅中含有铅，在高压加热时，爆锅内的铅有一定量会熔化，一部分铅就会变成蒸汽和铅烟，污染了原料。特别是在最后“爆”的一瞬间，铅更容易吸附疏松的米花上。而铅被人体吸收后，会危害神经、造血和等系统。极易发生慢性铅中毒，并能导致食欲下降、腹泻、烦躁、牙龈发紫、下降，生长发育缓慢。此外，一些爆米花还加了不少糖精，对身体也没有益处。因此，家长不要让儿童常食这类爆米花。
不少高档的爆米花，使用油等非反式脂肪加工制作爆米花，再加上玉米本身就含有丰富的营养元素，可以使爆米花美味与营养兼得。
