dx11 feature level 10.0 is required to run the engine
dx11 feature level 10.0 is required to run the engineWhat does this means ? I have fresh Win7 x64 SP1, i7 4770k and GTX770. Obviosly something is messed up. Also I installed everything to be able to &run& game on steam as usually but nothing really helps. Any tips ?Other steam/origin/uplay games works fine.Ok solved somehow. If anyone have this error just download nextRestart your PC and enjoy.

we are changing the installer to account for people who are missing that update. Great. Will this be a simple update to the title or will we be required to delete install?
You may have to reinstall, or just install the update
on your own.That update is going to be required to enable DX 11 feature level 10. Hi, when I try to download that, I get this
error: The update is not applicable to your computer.I've been googling it and it seems to be something regarding the Windows region configuration. Will you provide another solution? an update for the game maybe. I wanna play it :c I'm a reviewer too.

So I'm getting this error when I try to start Daylight (review copy).I found on google that its related to UE4 engine but I dont see how can I fix this. I installed on steam what I need (those 3 things directx etc), I have newest nvidia drivers and other games works. Any suggestion ?

You need to download and install DX10 - which will stuff up other software from running. So you'll have to keep swapping back and forth. It must be an old game.
Game isnt released its gonna be out at 29th April this year. It supports only DX11 and that is why I'm confused.

Ok if anyone else have this issue with this game and I believe it will be a problem for some gamers, just download and install next thingDoesnt come with fresh OS and important updates neither with other drivers. Apparently this is unique game which require this particular download.
Are you playing a Beta? If so, wait till its released.
Thats not a solution. If I asked can somebody help me then I would appreciate some suggestions. My job is to review games earlier so you didnt contribute anyhow to resolving my issue despite my previous post where I explained how to solve issue. Weird.
If it needs DX11 then that's what you should have. If the game is a Beta there's a fair chance there's still faults with it. Try looking on the Daylight forum.
Wait are you kidding me ? I found solution and I shared link for others if someone get same error. Read 5 posts above.
well that's weird since DX10 suppose to be subset of DX11. though i know that if you got fresh install on vista or 7 you need to manually update your DirectX 9 (9.0c) before you can play any DX9 based games. not sure how it goes on win 8 since i never use one. anyway the game will be the first UE4 game on PC. while i do interested with the game itself i want to know how good the looks on UE4 as well.
Its weird. I already installed dx but this update is required. And now I see on my steam thread about this issue that more and more people are saying that thay have same error.Didnt know that this is first UE4 game on PC, it's nothing really spectacular. Works really smooth on my config with recording software at the same time at stable 60 fps. I have gameplay/walkthrough going on on my yt channel with same username as here if you didnt saw already which I hardly doubt
All in all I would say that I;m not impressed with graphics but they are very good.

you see that the problem is I already have all these updates installed and it's still saying that i need to go to download that DX11 platform. Nevertheless I did download it even though i have all the latest drivers but it doesn't fix the problem. Can somebody tell me what the F... is the problem

Yes i checked them, but i have to say that Outlast required more higher specs. and i had no problem at running it on high grafics. I have a 32bit system if that might be the case, but then again this game is also available in 32bit and the only reason it wont start is because that DX11 update which i already have. I would attach a picture of the specs i ran in "game-debate" but there is no attachment option here (I am new to this).

I tried some forums but no good results. The problem with DX11 is common for many others. i hope this will get fixed in the future (even for us 32bit users).
if its directx 11 you want
and your gpu doesn't support it buy a new one and install directx from Microsoft
There's a chance that you need the DX SDK.w7 - w8 -

I dont know what to say about that but i'll try that DX SDK if it helps. I played a lot of games in my PC with these specs. and had at least no "you need to install DX11 10.0 platform whatever that is, WHILE i already have it installed" problem.I tried installing that SDK and it seems i already have a newer version of that installed (issue S1023)

I tried installing it for windows 7. And it seems i already have a newer version of that installed on my PC (i had issue S 1023). You can check that online if you want.

Uninstall the Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package and try again
I'm having the very same problem as we speak. will try this now.
