时间须回溯到2009年,在重庆黄桷坪首届艺术节上,一对专程从四川龙门山地震灾区——德阳赶来的父女艺术家,感动了来渝的艺术家、策展人和美术批评家。他们的一本中国写实派油画家《东方神女山鬼系列》画册,让人震撼不已:唯美的画面上,维纳斯般裸露的巫山神女,模特就是画家的亲生女儿。
这位父亲名叫李壮平,今年61岁;女儿名叫李勤,23岁。
Exploration of LIQIN known as the ORIENTAL GODDESS
Tracing back to the year 2009, in the FIRST ART FESTIVAL OF
HUANGJUEPING, CHONGQING, two artists, father LIZHUANGPING and
daughter LIQIN, coming from the devastating WENCHUAN earthquake
disastrous area for this festival, moved all the artists,
exhibition planners and fine art critics. They were stunned by
their works—the album sheets of REALISTIC OIL PAINTERS
of CHINA LIZHUANGPING AND LIQIN’S PAITINGS ORIENTAL
GODDESS—MOUNTAIN GHOST. &In
the beautiful paintings, the nude model of the VENUS-like WUSHAN
GODDESS is the daughter of the painter.
The father is LIZHUANGPING, 61; and the daughter is LIQIN,

李勤出生于蜀中书香门第,爷爷奶奶是当地有名的文人,父亲就是盛名在外的油画、国画家李壮平,这也许是李勤幸运的开始。还是天真烂漫的小女孩的时候,李勤就已经表现出普通孩子所没有的灵性。李勤告诉记者,在她三岁的时候,看过一次大型歌舞团的表演,当天晚上兴奋得睡不着。还是孩童的小李勤,首先表现出来的是舞蹈天赋。她会随着音乐翩翩起舞。父亲喜欢在作画的时候时放音乐,小女孩的她一听到那动人的旋律,就忍不住手舞足蹈,随着音乐的节奏起舞。小女儿的这种天赋,让父亲欣喜不已。然而最让人欣慰的却是,当父亲在画室潜心作画的时候,小女儿竟然在一旁用父亲的秃笔在废纸上随意涂鸦。父亲惊讶地发现,不满五岁的女儿果然遗传了自己的绘画基因,除了有惊人的舞蹈天赋外,还有不俗的绘画才情。父亲开始有意识地培养女儿作画,开始学习国画。将兴趣发展成爱好,或许不难,难的是将爱好发展成职业,这注定是艰难和困苦的。当父亲决定不空置女儿的灵性,把她培养成一名画家的时候,艰苦的专业训练才刚刚开始。李勤回忆说,刚满五岁的她就拿起画笔,反复临摹《芥子园画谱》里的梅兰竹菊。小小年纪的她,活泼好动,总是坐不住,临摹了半小时后就烦了。总是经不住小同伴们的诱惑,撇下画笔跑出画室玩耍。父亲知道要维持一个孩子对绘画的热情,不是简单的事情,他开始告诉女儿:绘画是一生的事业,必须认真对待,仅凭一时的天赋和好奇是成不了事业的。这个时候,小李勤无意中在父亲收藏的诸多连环画中发现了一本名为《潘玉良》的小人书,她深深地被书中女画家的坎坷命运以及对绘画艺术不懈追求的精神吸引和打动。她问父亲:“什么时候我也能像潘玉良一样,成为一个让人敬佩的女画家啊?”父亲乘此机会教导女儿说:“中国的女画家本来就很少,能最终达到艺术至高境界的女画家就更屈指可数了。你想成为潘玉良,就不能三心二意。潘玉良为了画好画,每天废寝忘食,要练习好几个小时。一个人的成功不是一蹴而就的,你现在才画了半个小时就不耐烦了,那怎么行呢?”父亲的这番话,让小李勤既兴奋又惭愧,内心倔强而好强的她暗暗对自己说:“我要成为中国最优秀的女画家!”从那以后,小李勤像是变了一个人,每天把自己关在画室,一笔一笔认认真真地学习国画和绘画基本功素描,色彩,窗外小伙伴们嬉闹玩乐再也吸引不了她了。看到女儿的这些变化,父亲由衷的感到欣慰。
From gift of the fine art to the pursuit of career
LIQIN was born in a well-educated family in the middle area of
SICHUAN province, her grandfather and grandmother are the
well-known local scholars, her father are the famous oil painter
and traditional Chinese painter, and this might be the onset of
LIQIN’s good luck. When she was a naive little girl, LIQIN had been
found the special talent that the other children did not have.
LIQIN told the interviewer that when she was three years old, she
watched a grand singing and dancing show of a big performing body
once, she was so exciting that she failed to fall in sleep that
night. In her childhood, LIQIN represented her talent of dancing
she could dance to the music. Her father preferred to play
some music when he was painting, the little girl would dance to the
beautiful music when she heard it. Her father couldn’t fail to be
happy with her gift. What most satisfactory was when her father
deliberated on his painting in his studio, the little daughter also
painted her scrawl by her father’s side with the brush and paper
her father disposed. To the father’s surprise, his
younger-than-five-year old daughter had inherited his gene of
painting: she had not only the gift of dancing, but the unusual
gift of painting. So the father begun to make a conscious effort to
teach his daughter painting skills—taught her traditional Chinese
painting. It might not be difficult to turn an interest into a
hobby, what difficult is to develop a it is
doomed to be hard and arduous. When the father decided not to let
his daughter’s talent idle and to train her to be a painter, the
painstaking training begun. LIQIN recalled that when she was
five-year old, she begun to hold a brush and repeatedly copied the
plum blossoms, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum from the
JIEZIYUAN HUAZHUAN (MANUAL OF THE MUSTARD SEED
GARDEN). She was too young to seat herself still for any amount
she had hardly concentrated herself on copying for more
than half an hour. She was often lured by her little mates to put
down her brush and go out of studio playing with them. The father
realized that it was not easy to sustain a child’s aspire for
painting, he begun to teach his daughter that fine art is a
lifelong career, must be treated seriously, the evanescent interest
and talent couldn’t lead to success. Just then, little LIQIN found
a cartoon series PANYULIANG out of her father’s collection
she was moved and inspired by the heroin’s tough
and uneven life and the spirit of vigorous pursuit of art without
remissness. She asked her father:“When will I be a respectable
female painter as PANYULIANG?” The father gave his daughter a
chance lesson:“In china female painters are rare, those of them
could reach the highest level of the fine art are rarer. You want
to be a PANYULIANG; you should prepare yourself for that without
absence and swing of mind. In order to make her paintings perfect,
PANYULIANG often practiced painting for hours without eating and
sleeping. There is no straight forward way to success, now you just
practiced for only half an hour and was impatient, how can you
become a PANYULIANG?” Father’s remarks made LIQIN both ashamed and
excited. Unyielding and competitive as she was, she told herself:“
I must be the most excellent female painter!” Since then, little
LIQIN changed herself completely, every day she stayed in studio
training herself the fundamental techniques of pencil drawing and
understanding of color from scratch. She was immune from the lure
of playing with her little mates. Noticing the changes of his
daughter, the father felt very happy and satisfied.
十年如一日的严格专业训练,夯实了李勤的绘画基本功。而她对绘画艺术的天赋与灵性也得到了父亲行内朋友的认可。心怀远大志向的李勤,一直梦想着去中央美院深造。在她十岁的时候,父亲带她去心仪的圣地中央美院,意在让她感受艺术之都的浓郁气氛。没想到,此行竟然还有另外一个收获:父亲将她的一些画作拿给中央美院的一些老师和同学看,大家异常惊讶于一个十岁孩童竟能有如此不凡的灵气,老师甚至说:“这种画作是考我们院研究生的水平啊!”
&A dozen of years restrict training laid a
solid foundation of painting and drawing for LIQIN. And her gift
and talent for fine art received approval of her father and his
friends of fine art community. Aiming high, LIQIN had been dreaming
to enter the China Central Academy of Fine Art for further
training. When she was ten, her father took her to her longing
Mecca—China Central Academy of Fine Art. To their surprise, this
journey brought them an unexpected harvest: her father shown her
works to the teachers and students, all of them were stunned for
her extraordinary gift, some of the teachers even said:“Those work
reach the level of our post students’!”
《东方神女》油画创作起于一桩心愿
The provenance of oil painting Oriental Goddess was an
aspiration
父亲李壮平的心愿,就是用画笔主张世界和平和博爱,用一幅或一系列的作品呼吁人类关爱自然、动物、人与人之间和睦相处,维护地球生态平衡。构思宏大,但要具体落到实处却十分艰难。
LIZHUANGPING’s aspiration is to advocate the world peace and
philanthropy with his brush-pen, to employ one or a series of his
works to appeal human beings to protect the nature, animals and to
sustain the harmonious relationship between human beings and the
ecological equilibrium. This conception was magnificent, but it was
extremely hard when undertook it.
经过数十年的观察与感悟,李壮平终于从楚辞《九歌之山鬼》篇中寻找到了灵感:“若有人兮山之阿,被薜荔兮带女萝。既含睇兮又宜笑,子慕予兮善窈窕。乘赤豹兮从文狸,辛夷车兮结桂旗。被石兰兮带杜衡,折芳馨兮遗所思……”一位中国最美丽的山林女神的形象飘然而至,清新、妩媚、神秘、缥缈,她美丽、圣洁、优雅、善良,她与天地同生、与日月星辰共光华、与狮虎豹百兽同游、与花草树木为伴,共同熔铸成一幅幅神圣、祥和、融洽、人与自然美好的画境,这是一种至圣、至纯、至善、至美的和谐之境,这难道不正是人们世代追寻的美好人间的幸福之境吗?这不正是自己一直苦苦追寻的吗?
于是以“东方神女”为形象符号的创作构思在李壮平心中诞生。
After decades of observation and reflection, LIZHUANGPING
finally find his inspiration out of the poem Mountain
Ghost from the Nine Poems, a collection of QUYUAN’s
poems. The poem stated:“Oh, my love, BIli on your shoulders and
NvLuo on your waist, you live in the mountains. Your eyes are so
hypnotizing and you smile is so charming that no any boy could fail
to be arrested by the beauty of your slim body and friend make-up.
You ride on a red leopard, followed by striped foxes and XinYi and
Osmanthus decorated car. Wearing the cloth of ShiLan and DuHeng on
your waist, you pick up the fragrant flowers for your lover…” The
figure of a beautiful mountain goddess came through LIZHUANGPIN’s
she was fresh, charming, enigmatic and misty, she was
beautiful, pure, elegant and kind, she lived on with the sky and
the earth, shined with the sun, the moon and the stars, she
traveled with tigers, loins and leopards and she was accompanied by
flowers, trees, and grasses. They composed a album sheets of
paintings of holy, auspicious and harmonious human-nature
relations. It was the haven of solstice holy, pure, kindness and
beauty. That should be the happiness for which generations of human
beings had been pursuing, that was what for which he had been
So, the composition of “Oriental Goddess” was put into the mind
of LIZHUANGPING.
但待到落笔时,李壮平却发现自己找不到一个具体的形象符号来表现“巫山神女”。他心目中的“神女”形象是至真、至善、至美的,是从屈原的《九歌》中走出来的山鬼,是人与自然和谐相处的女神。然而,寻找神女形象的过程是异常的艰难,父亲走遍了全国各地的艺术学校和艺术团体,以至各种名目的形象大赛、选美大赛,都没能找到契合他心中圣洁神女的形象。
Well when he begun to paint, he found that no concrete indicator
could be employed to represent the “Goddess of WuShan”. In the eyes
of his mind and heart, the image of the“Goddess” should be purest,
kindest and most beautiful. She was the mountain ghost from
QUYUAN’s collection of poems NINE POEMS, symbolizing the
harmonious co-existence of human beings and the nature. Yet the
process of searching for the indicator of the goddess was extremely
hard, LI visited the academies of art and the companies of art all
across the country, attended the IMAGE CONTESTS and BEAUTY CONTASTS
of all kinds, and found no one could match the image of the pure
goddess in his mind and heart.
就在父亲极度失望甚至想放弃的时候,无意中发现身边已经逐渐长大的女儿,不正是自己朝思暮念,追寻已久的圣洁、清纯、美丽善良的东方神女形象吗?
When the father felt helpless and hopeless and was intending to
give up, he suddenly found that his growing-up daughter was just
the image of pure, fresh, beautiful and kind oriental goddess who
he was thirsty for long.
还是十五六岁的李勤就已经身高长到168cm,体态婀娜,明艳动人,一双眼睛澄澈明净,常常被父亲画界的朋友邀请去当模特,说到这里,李勤不禁回忆起父亲创作《东方神女》时的往事。父亲李壮平经过数十年的观察与感悟,终于沉淀出以“东方神女”为形象符号的主题,旨在表达人与动物自然和谐生存之意,主张世界和平和博爱,呼吁人类关爱自然、动物、人与人之间和睦相处,维护地球生态平衡。思想已然成熟,落到笔下时,却找不到一个具体的形象符号。他心目中的“神女”形象是至真、至善、至美的,是从屈原的《九歌》中走出来的山鬼,是人与自然和谐相处的女神。然而,寻找神女形象的过程是异常的艰难,父亲走遍了全国各地的艺术学校和艺术团体,以至各种名目的形象大赛、选美大赛,都没能找到契合他心中圣洁神女的对象。就在父亲极度失望甚至想放弃的时候,无意中发现身边已经逐渐长大的女儿,不正是自己朝思暮念,追寻已久的圣洁清纯、美丽善良的东方神女形象。

When she was 15 or 16, she had grown 168cm tall, slim and
charming, eyes clear and transparent. She was often invited to
serve as model for her father’s friends in the fine art community.
Talking about this, LIQIN could not help to recall what happened
when her father created the Oriental Goddess. After decades
of observation and reflection, her father LIZHUANGPING finally
figured out the subject featured by the image of Oriental
Goddess, aimed to address the harmonious relationship between
the human beings and the nature, advocate world peace and
philanthropy, appeal human beings to take good care of nature,
animals and the harmonious human relationship, and sustain the
ecological equilibrium. While the creativity and composition
matured, there was no concrete image at the start. In his heart and
mind, the “Goddess” was the purest, kindest and most beautiful
mountain ghost out of QUYUAN’s collection of poems Nine
Poems, and the goddess symbolizing the harmonious co-existence
of human beings and the nature. Yet the process of searching for
the indicator of the goddess was extremely hard, LI visited the
academies of art and the bodies of art all across the country,
attended the IMAGE CONTESTS and BEAUTY CONTASTS of all kinds, and
found no one could match the image of the pure goddess in his mind
and heart.& When LI felt helpless and hopeless and
was intending to give up, he suddenly found that his growing-up
daughter was just the image of pure, fresh, beautiful and kind
oriental goddess who he was thirsty for long. The conception of
Oriental Goddess had been conceived by LIZHUANGPING for
decades, aimed at appealing people to care for nature, environment,
and animals with the help of paintings. It was an eternal subject
of thought worldwide. It was reflected in the traditional Chinese
culture long ago. In QUYUAN’s mountain ghost of NINE POEMS
and the Goddess of WUSHAN of GUOMORUO, the pure, kind and
beautiful goddess often lived in the WUSHAN Mountain with loins,
tigers and leopards, and it was said that the mountain Goddess is
her transformation. LIQIN is an unsophisticated, na&ve and natural
girl, like a piece of uncarved jade, best fitted for the model of
the Oriental Goddess.
创作《东方神女》油画背后的艰辛
The hardness behind the creation of oil painting Oriental
李壮平将这一念头告诉了妻子和女儿。当时就读于四川美术学院的李勤自然能够理解父亲的这一艺术设想。而母亲对此也持赞同的态度,认为女儿正是最美好的年华,她身上流露出的未经世俗玷染的清纯气质,如同山间小鹿一样明丽清雅,是丈夫心中最理想的神女形象。
LIZHUANGPING told his wife and daughter this idea. Daughter
LIQIN, student of SICHUAN FINE ART ACADEMY then, hailed for her
fahter’s idea of artistic conception. And LIQIN’s mother also
approved this idea. She thought that their daughter was at her best
period of life, dripping with a make-up of unsophisticated
freshness, brilliant, beautiful and elegant like a kitty fawn in
the mountain valley, and couldn’t fail to represent the image of
Oriental Goddess in her husband’s heart and mind.
然而,创作《东方神女山鬼系列》的过程比想象中的艰难百倍。外人往往看到《山鬼》里女神的清丽和妩媚,但往往自动忽略了做模特的幸苦。
Yet the process of the creation of Oriental Goddess--
MOUNTAIN GHOST SERIES was far more difficult than predictions.
The outsiders saw only the freshness, beauty, and charm of the
goddess of the “mountain ghost”, not the hardness and predicament
of the art model.
油画的创作过程很慢,为了保证质量,有时候一幅油画要画几个月,几个月保持同一个姿势,还要表情生动,眼神明亮,而且前后的表情姿势不能有丝毫偏差,如此高的要求,即使专业演员都很难做到,然而李勤都坚持下来了。同时,为了保证画中人物既有少女的纯洁娇羞,又有神女的美艳动人,父亲对女儿提出了一个非常苛刻的要求,那就是在创作的六年时间内,不能谈男朋友,节假日外出要说明去向……
The steps of creation of oil painting usually were very slow. In
order to reach high quality, the accomplishment an oil painting
needed months. In these months, the art model had to routinely
repeat a type of pose for months, and kept facial expression vivid
and eyes tireless, and the facial expression and the positions of
the pose essentially identical. Such strict requirements like these
were not easily met by the dedicated art models, yet LIQIN did.
Meanwhile to ensure the figure in painting with both virgin’s
purity and shyness and goddess’s charm, her father put forward an
extremely stringent requirement for LIQIN,not fall in love with any
boy in the 6 years of the creation of the painting, and let him
know where she would go in the weekends and holydays …
“保护好你,才能保证很好地完成作品。”父亲郑重地对女儿说。李勤毫不犹豫就答应下来了。
“To protect you is to guarantee the final accomplishment of this
work.” said LIZHUANGPING to his daughter seriously. LIQIN accepted
this requirement without any hesitation.
对李壮平来说,《山鬼》创作过程也极为艰难,因为追求艺术,追求个人对历史的超越,李壮平差点创新未成身先死。当翻开中国百年油画史,李壮平竟然发现,用写实手法创作《山鬼》的油画,在大型动物的毛质刻画上,竟没有一人成功。就连美术大师徐悲鸿,也只是用国画小写意画了一张《山鬼》。再检阅世界数百年西画史,李壮平更感遗憾,西方油画家画动物都是用群像中远距离,当他以此种油画技法来创作《山鬼》时,虽然感觉人有神韵,但用这种技法在刻划近距离的特写动物时却没有生命力。他对此很不满意。
For LIZHUANGPING, the creation of Mountain Ghost proved
to be painstaking. For the pursuit of art, for the surpassing over
the history, LIZHUANGPING’s innovation was almost premature. In the
history of oil painting of a hundred years in China, LIZHUANGPING
even found that no any one succeeded in painting the fur of large
animals in the creation of Mountain Ghost with
representational techniques. Even the great master of painting
XUBEIHONG, only tried to painted the Mountain Ghost with
Slight Freehand Style that just captured the essence of it, not in
detail. And consulting the hundreds years of European oil painting,
LIZHUANGPING felt more despaired, the western oil painters painted
animals usually at middle or long range. To paint the Mountain
Ghost with this technique, though the human figures seemed
vivid enough, but to capture the details of animal at short range,
it looked lack of vitality. So, he was not satisfied.
经过数月的努力,李壮平所画出的作品还是不能达到理想中的要求,他一度身陷绝望之中。终于有一天,李壮平积劳成疾,倒在书堆画稿里不动了,李勤给他打电话没人接,就知道可能出事了,赶紧回家将他送到了医院。经数天抢救,他终于活了过来。女儿李勤含着眼泪叫他暂时放下,李壮平说:“只要我心不死,一切都可以从头来”。于是,他又开始回到画前苦苦思索、精心研究。终于他成功了!大型动物的毛质好像是从动物皮里长出来的感觉,如真实一般血肉丰满,狮子,老虎、豹子、松鼠等都在画布上活了起来。为它们注入了生命,包括人物的头发都增加了生命的活力,这是在李壮平在写实油画上,对野生动物的毛质和人的头发的绘画语言和技法上的一大创新和突破。
After endeavor of months, LIZHUANGPING found his work did not
meet his expected requirements, he was so despaired that he
collapsed once, fell into the pile of books. LIQIN had called him
she predicted that something unhappy happened at
home, and came back home and sent him hospital. Through days of
emergency treatments, he was given back his life. Daughter LIQIN
asked him with eyes full of tears to take a pause, LIZHUANGPING
answered:“ I will try again before my decision of giving up.” Then
he came back to his work, ruminated and elaborated upon his
paintings. Finally, he succeeded! The fur of the large animals
looks as if it grows from the flesh of them, and the loins, tigers,
leopards and squirrels appear alive on the canvas. It gives them
lives, including the painting of human hires, enhance the vitality.
It was a breakthrough and innovation by LIZHUANGPING for painting
of fur of animals and hire of human beings in representational
techniques.
父女俩通力合作之下,神女山鬼不仅美艳动人,而且形神兼备,狮虎猛兽毛发毕现、栩栩如生。
Through the elaborate cooperation by the father and the
daughter, the mountain ghost was created not only eyes-catching,
but also compatible with the observers’ expectation in both figure
and spirit. And the furs and hairs of loins, tigers and other
animals are vividly similar to the real ones.
&&&日,李壮平父女俩带着耗费了六年心血和精力完成的《东方神女山鬼系列》油画册,应邀参加首届重庆黄桷坪新年(国际)艺术节。本意不是去参展,没想到一亮相,就引起了美术界的极大震动。当时中国美术家协会名誉主席靳尚谊说:“画得不错,很细致,特别是在动物上有新的绘画表现语言。”著名美术批评家林木说:“这样的父女合作,在百年绘画史上是独一无二的,他们父女俩无意识中开拓了一个第一,非常可敬!”
In January 16, 2009, LIZHUANGPING and his daughter LIQIN were
invited to attend the FIRST NEW YEAR ART FESTIVAL OF HUANGJUPING,
CHONGQIN, with their painting album of Oriental Goddess—Mountain
Ghost series completed with six years painstaking and elaborate
efforts. The album was not for exhibition, but after its first
show, it caused a great splash in the fine art community. The then
honorary president of the China Artists Association
JINSHANGYI said:“Well done,& it
is delicate, it indicate a new formula of painting animals.” The
famous fine art critic LINMU said:“ The corporation between father
and daughter as such is unique in the history of paintings in a
century, they are respectable for their unexpected
‘first-ever’.”

LIQIN, known as oriental goddess, is also a

Sited ease and calm under the sunshine of afternoon, beautiful
LIQIN talked with the interviewer about that days. With a smile,
she said:“At that time I was too young to be psychologically ready
to be a celebrity, and once was despaired under the bombardment of
opinions of publications of many kind. Yet I received supports,
encourages, and approvals from the fine art circles and lovers of
painting and calligraphy all over the world. They sent me messages
that interpret the Oriental Goddess in their hearts through
e-mails and on my web site blogs and my father’s; many artists
wrote poems for Oriental Goddess to match the theme of it,
and many foreign artistic bodies invited us to show Oriental
Goddess there. The government of CHONGQING invited my father
and me to attend the “Seminar of digging out the culture of goddess
and building the culture of loving capital of china”, and just in
the site of this seminar, I was elected the image ambassador of
“WUSHAN GODDESS”. A gallery of “Oriental Goddess” was built
in WUSHAN, CHONGQING, the painting works of Oriental Goddess
were mandated by CHONGQING government.

In 2010, the first national DUANWU culture festival--“QUYUAN’S
HOME TOWN DUANWU CULTURE FESTIVAL AND FORUM OF QUYUAN CULTURE OF
BOTH SIDES OF TAIWAN STAIT” was held high-profile in QUYUAN’s home
town ZIGUI, HUBEI province. The government of HUBEI province
intended to build a gallery of “Oriental Goddess” also, in order to
let more people view the realistic oil painting “WuShan Ghost” in
QUYUAN’s poems. LIQIN and her father LIZHUANGPING were the only two
painters invited to attend the opening ceremony.

Now LIQIN could talk with pride about her cooperation years ago
with her father to create the album of Oriental Goddess—Mountain
Ghost series for she not only was the nude model for the
subject, but also participated in the composition and design of the
works—she contributed a lot to the use of colors and the painting
of background. This is a work that she co-created with her father.
As the time goes by, the final judgments will be given, and the
history will prove that the artistic works by my father and me are
before the time and eternal.

PAINTING ALBUM OF ORIENTAL GODDESS--LIQIN
which is on its way to publication, including the atlas of
National Treasure—Pandas series, The Paintings
of Plum blossoms, Orchid, Bamboo and
Chrysanthemum, the Paintings of Grapes and Fine Wine and
Lotus series.& Panda is the rarest animal
it symbolizes harmony, friendship and peace. The late
traditional Chinese painters WUZUOREN AND LVLIN et al had created
freehand style paintings of pandas. In the works of freehand style
paintings of pandas by generations of Chinese painting masters
features pandas against the dull background of stones and bamboos.
And LIQIN have integrated the traditional techniques into her own
process and formulated unprecedented innovation in the painting and
composition of the freehand style paintings of panda. liQin’s
paintings of pandas focused on the experiences of panda’s growth
and “feelings”, against the background with the interaction between
the flowers, birds and insects in the natural living environment,
and reflected ,in the natural state,the story of
pandas’“kinship”,“romantic love” and “friendship”, the black and
white pandas’“colorful world of feelings” and the amicability in
more detail. And with this album of paintings, She also want to
appeal people to protect this extincting rare national
treasure—pandas, and cherish the earth and protect the
environment.
《荷花》是李勤最喜欢花卉,荷花气质圣洁高雅,“出淤泥而不染”又被人称为是君子花、凌波仙子、水宫仙子,荷花像仙女一样,亭亭玉立,李勤用荷花寓意她自己,“愿生命化做一朵莲花”,化做“荷花仙子”。“荷”的谐音“和”,她以荷花为题材创作的《和谐盛世》系列国画,来表达追求和平,和谐社会的美好愿望。在《荷花》系列组画的创作上,对历代画荷花的国画大师作品进行研究,(如八大,张大千晚年的泼墨泼彩的荷花作品),在继承传统的基础上,李勤的荷花做了新的尝试和创新,为画好荷花,常常到荷塘写生,观察荷花、荷叶和荷塘的生物。用今人对荷花的审美,在荷叶的表现上,用中国水墨和西画色彩,泼墨、点染、冲水及墨和色互渗交融,更真实表现荷塘里荷叶纹理和色彩空间感,在荷叶映衬下水墨的粉色荷花,清丽、淡雅、朦胧摇逸,在荷塘月色中,每幅画中配以不同的飞鸟,蜻蜓、小鱼、螃蟹、蜻蜓、白鹭、等荷塘的生物,给荷塘平添生机和活力。让人有身临其景感受荷塘月色中明静、空灵、清逸淡远气息。
Lotus is LIQIN’s most favorite flower. It is characterized by an
attitude of elegance and holiness. It roots in the mire but immunes
from being contaminated by it.& It is regarded as
the genteel flower, the goddess over the ripples and the goddess of
aquatic palace. &It stands slim and gracious.
LIQIN compares herself to lotus, wishes that she would be a slim
and gracious like lotus. In Chinese the pronunciation of lotus is
similar to that of harmony, so LIQIN choose the lotus her subject
of her Chinese painting series of Harmonious Society and
Promised Era to reflect the best wish of pursuit of peace and
harmonious society. On the basis of exploration of works of
generations of Chinese painting masters’ (such as the paintings of
BADASHANREN—ZHANGDAQIAN’s with the technique of spilling inks and
colors in his later years)and integration of the traditional
skills, LIQIN created the Lotus with renewed attempt and
techniques. In order to paint lotus precisely, LIQIN often copied
lotus at the pond, observed the flowers and leaves of lotus and
other pond lives. LIQIN depicted lotus by the techniques of
spilling, dropping and washing to mix the inks and colors and more
precisely reproduced the grains and colors and the recession of
space of lotus’ leaves in the pond. This is in accordance with
modern aesthetics. Against the leaves of lotus, the pink flowers
appear fresh and elegant, swinging in the misty air. The paintings
features back ground of birds, dragonflies, small fishes, crabs,
egrets, and the moon over the pond. This increase the vitality of
the pond and makes the viewers feel that they are in the site of
the pond, experience the freshness, silence, and ethereality of the
pond at moon night.
为创作好《国宝大熊猫》,李勤多次到成都大熊猫繁殖基地写生。她还饶有趣味地告诉记者,因为那段时间几乎天天泡在大熊猫繁殖基地,基地的熊猫们都认识她了,一看到她走近,熊猫们就自动走到她身边。有一次,她隔着玻璃墙亲吻一只大熊猫,竟神奇的发现大熊猫流出了眼泪。说到这里的时候,李勤兴奋地跟记者描述起当时的场景,禁不住用手比划,脸上因激动而绽放出一种别样的神采,俨然是一位未经世事内心仍然像个少女一样纯情的小姑娘。
In order to create the National Treasure Pandas well,
LIQIN visited the breeding base of the pandas for painting them
from their lives. She told interviewer with great pleasure that she
almost stayed in the base every day over that days, the pandas knew
her well. Every time when she came, they gathered by her side. Once
she kissed a panda separated by glass wall, surprisingly, she found
its eyes dropping with tears. Talking about this, LIQIN was so
exciting that she couldn’t help to depict the scene then with hands
movements. Facial expression unusual by exciting, LIQIN looked as
an unsophisticated and pure little girl.
这些年来,李勤走得从容自信,多幅作品在国内展览入选并获奖,2010年,在纪念5.12汶川特大地震两周年之际,李勤与父亲将他们共同创作的一幅《任何困难都难不倒英雄的中国人民》的油画捐赠给四川博物院,专家评估市场价值1800万。李勤告诉记者,原本是想将这幅油画进行拍卖的,拍出的善款全部捐给灾区,为灾区人民重建家园贡献一份力量。然而创作完之后才知道,作品里有以现任国家领导人为原型的不在拍卖范畴。现在,四川博物院已经将这幅作品永久收藏了。2011年9月,李勤的国画作品《和谐盛世》在人民艺术家协会主办的“中国书画家365台历”中获银奖。
For years, LIQIN lives deliberate and confident. Some pieces of
her works were shown in many exhibitions and won awards. In the
commemoration, 2010, which marked the 2nd anniversary of
WENCHUAN devastating earthquake, LIQIN and her father donated oil
painting ANY DIFFICULTY COULD NOT DEFEAT THE HEROTIC CHINESE
PEOPLE by their collaboration to the SICHUAN MUSEUM. Experts
estimated this painting worth of 18 million Yuan. LIQIN told
interviewer that they should intend to put this painting into
auction and donate the money earned by selling it to the disaster
areas, for the rebuilding of the economy of disaster affected
people. Yet when they had ANY DIFFICULTY COULD NOT DEFEAT THE
HEROTIC CHINESE PEOPLE made, they were told that any art work
featured national leaders in office was not allowed to put up to
auction. Now, the work is preserved in SICHUAN museum permanently.
In Sept.2011, LIQIN’s Chinese painting work Harmonious Society
and Promised Era was awarded silver medal in the “CHINESE
CALLIGRAPHORS AND PAINTERS’365 WORKS DESK CALENDER” sponsored by
the PEOPLE’S ARTISTS ASOCIATION.

Mentioned these achievements, LIQIN was not filled with
satisfaction, but a sense of new beginning. We would like to
